How to Book
The Boat Availability page shows how many boat-days are currently free at each of
the Loch’s three mooring locations.
During February and March, bookings can be made by post, using the Advance Booking
form. The prices are discounted during this Advance Booking period, and payment must
be made by cheque.
From April 1st onwards, you can book by phone and pay by credit card via CKD Galbraith:
ring 01738 451 600. Betty Robertson is in charge of bookings, and her hours are
9 - 5.30 Monday - Friday.
What if the dates you want are not available?
A number of the Loch Hope boats - including all three of the South End ones - are
taken for the full season by local hotels or estates;so at the start of the season,
no availability will show for these boats. Later on, though, some days will sometimes
reappear as free, if lease-holders find they do not need them for their own guests.
If you can't find what you want, tell CKDG and they can put you on a waiting list.
Alternatively, you can try contacting the lease-holders directly, as most of them
will let boat-days without accommodation if their own guests are not using them.
Prices may of course be different. See the Where to Stay page for contact information.
Cancellations
If you have booked a boat and find you can't use it, please tell CKDG. They will
put your days back on the website, and you'll get a refund, less a handling charge,
subject to their ability to re-let the relevant days. The earlier a cancellation
is made, the better the chances of a re-let.
